Getting Started with Support Services
June 28, 3-5pm
Terra Pacem Tasting Room
5th Street Alley
This seminar is for people who want to learn how to access disability services for themselves or others. Complete beginners are very welcome—as well as people wanting to update their knowledge or pass information on to someone else—this seminar is for all of you.
The world of disability services can seem like a scary bureaucracy if you are trying to get first time support, are transferring services from another location, or are going through a life transition like graduating from high school. Accessing disability services can even be confusing to those of us who have used them for many years. In this seminar, we will learn the lingo and differences between County DDS, brokerage services, and service providers. In particular, we will talk about how to get started with disability support services in Eugene-Springfield and Lane County. Guest speakers from three organizations: Lane County Developmental Disability Services, Full Access (a local brokerage), and Allies (a local service provider) will visit with us and answer questions.
Space is limited to 15 Attendees; so, RSVP is required. Use the link to the right to RSVP or learn more about this specific seminar or the Demystifying Disability Services series in general.
