FarmAble is a 501(c)(3) Pennsylvania Non-Profit
FarmAble works with existing provider organizations to provide meaningful work as well as social connections for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. FarmAble is based at our Boyertown location and is open to all abilities, young and old who want to volunteer their time and make lasting relationships with all those that volunteer here. Farm-related activities are the primary focus for our volunteers, allowing everyone the ability to find an activity which is fulfilling and where all abilities can share a common interest.
Our current garden produces veggies and herbs that can be preserved or go straight to the table. We are in the process of making more beds so that the crew can expand into Herbs to make tea and lavender for hand crafts. Our Alpaca’s will produce fiber for hand crafts and we hope to build an outside bread oven for baking and so much more.
All of these provide a space for volunteers to work hands on, whether it be wheelbarrowing, digging, learning how to use tools or making planters out of bamboo. These additions will open up new activities that everyone can learn from. If you would like to support, we gladly accept tax-deductible donations of building materials and/or direct cash donations.

At the Farm...
The Place
FarmAble shares space with Terra Pacem Winery. The 18 acre farm is in Boyertown PA, 45 miles northwest of Philadelphia and 100 miles southwest of New York.
The Crew
FarmAble's daily guests come from Delphi Provider, a local provider focused on client-centered support for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Delphi believes that community lies at the heart of everything they do and that all clients have the right and ability to work or volunteer in their local communities, building up long last relationships with all that they meet.
In 2025 we will also hopefully be welcoming class trips to learn about where food comes from, sustainability and animal husbandry. They will get the chance to volunteer and help out with daily activities alongside our regular crew.
The Animals
Meet baby Calypso and mom Bossa Nova, two of the five alpacas who will soon join FarmAble to be cared for daily by the Delphi Crew.
These lovely ladies come to us from Silkie's Farm. They will share space with our three Great Pyrenee farm dogs (Peach, Yoshi, and Mario).
The Crops
FarmAble crop production primarily focuses on table vegetables and fruits. In addition to the raised beds, we just planted a pumpkin patch for Fall 2025!
